Michael is one of four sons, with deep local roots in Connecticut. He was born and raised in Bethany, CT, and attended Amity High School in Woodbridge, CT. He completed his undergraduate degree in New Haven, CT, at Albertus Magnus College, where he graduated summa cum laude, valedictorian of his class, and earned the national honor of Academic All-American as captain of the men’s lacrosse team. Michael then went on to receive his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in North Haven, CT.
Michael has devoted himself to helping those in his community. His family has owned and operated Stop & Go Transmissions & Auto Repairs in Bridgeport, CT, since 1977. Since he was young, Michael worked for his father in the family business where his first job was sweeping the floors in the garage. He became especially passionate about client interaction and prided himself on helping every person that walked into the door.
Michael first joined Balzano & Tropiano in 2014 as a part of an internship program during his undergraduate studies, where he was exposed to all facets of personal injury litigation and advocacy. Michael quickly learned that the firm shared the same desire to improve and protect the interests of the community. Michael continued to work for the firm while completing his law degree. Upon graduation, Michael was subsequently hired as an associate attorney at the firm.
In his free time, Michael enjoys golfing, trout fishing, coaching youth lacrosse, and spending time with family.
