Biography

Attorney Sandillo grew up in the Greater New Haven area of Connecticut, and currently resides in Hamden. He played competitive hockey in his younger years and was the captain of Notre Dame of West Haven in his senior year of high school. After graduating from Notre Dame in 2010, he attended the University of Connecticut and played four years on the UConn Men's ACHA D2 Club Hockey Team. He graduated from UConn in 2014, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.

In his senior year of college, Attorney Sandillo worked within the Connecticut General Assembly serving as an Assistant Clerk on the Public Health Committee during the 2014 legislative session. Upon the closing of the legislative session, he went on to work as a Campaign Manager in Stamford, Connecticut, where he acted as a liaison for candidates running for Connecticut's House of Representatives. He was successful in his campaigning efforts and was ultimately given the opportunity to accept a full-time position as a Legislative Aide. He left the Connecticut General Assembly in 2017 to pursue law school.

In 2017, he began his legal studies as a part-time student at Quinnipiac University School of Law and began clerking full-time for Balzano & Tropiano, P.C. He received his Juris Doctorate in 2020 and was admitted to the Connecticut Bar Association shortly thereafter.

Attorney Sandillo has been working alongside Attorney Balzano and Attorney Tropiano since 2017. In his time at Balzano & Tropiano, P.C., he has maintained the respect of the managing partners and is entrusted with handling some of the firm's most complex legal issues. These issues include, but are not limited to, general negligence, intentional torts, contract violations, criminal matters, products liability, landlord-tenant disputes, medical malpractice claims, worker's compensation claims, and wrongful death claims.

Attorney Sandillo prides himself in serving the community to the best of his ability. He will never expect or seek payment for an initial phone conversation. He concerns himself with the education of the client before contemplating case strategy. He has proven to be a skilled negotiator but is always prepared to bring a case to trial.

Aside from work, Attorney Sandillo spends most of his free time either playing golf, hockey, or guitar. He is also a huge fan of Formula One racing and values his time with family, friends, his dogs, and his girlfriend, Daniella.
